Martin David Edwards is a writer, film maker and photographer based in London. Martin works under the name storiesbymartin.
For his writing, Martin has published short stories in Bento Box, The Literary Yard, The Metric, Psychopomp, Sein und Werden, Storyboard, Street Cake and Winamop magazines, and in the collection "Allusions of Innocence" by Solarwyrm Press. For his photography, Martin has exhibited in three solo shows at the Red Gate Gallery in London in 2009 and 2010, and in group shows at AE Studios in New York in 2009 and at the Liquid Arts Fair in March 2012. Most recently, Martin has exhiibited works from his current "Smoke" project at the Arts Council funded Saltaire Arts Trail in May 2012 and at the Art in the Ark Summer Exhibition, part of the Basingstoke Festival, in June 2012.
Martin has published fashion editorials and runway photography in BeyondALL Magazine, Crookes Magazine, Feroce Magazine, London Runway Magazine, MakeSense Magazine, Marika Magazine, Ondine Magazine, Picton Magazine and Winamop Magazine.
Martin wrote and directed the short comedy film The Throuple, filmed in London in October 2023. The film is currently being submitted to festivals worldwide.
Martin dedicates all his work to the memory of his late beloved sister, Clare Lucy Sankey (1964-2007).
